Best architectural cad software for mac3/13/2023 It is not critical that it keeps/uses the geo location (it is the scale that is more important), but ideally it would as this makes importing a future aerial map file so much easier if it is just paced and scaled appropriately. Needs to be able to import/export and work on. AutoCAD LT is about the price range, but it can’t deal with georeferenced files. Ideally software with a perpetual license for under $1200, or less $300 per year subscription. I have the Mappublisher plug-in for Illustrator which in theory does what I needs but seems overly complicated to set up each plan each time (and also pretty expensive) Autodesk now offers AutoCAD for Mac, and in 2015 it became possible to run Revit on your Apple computer, too, but with a catch to do so you must use Frame, a platform that delivers Windows applications and work-flows from the cloud, to run Revit within a browser. That’s compared to 99.99/£89.99 for a full year for the home user version of. I have also looked at Vectorworks Landmark, but again is more expensive and more than I need. But, as mentioned, Windows 365 is quite expensive, with prices ranging from 31/£26.40 to 66/£56.20 per month. I am looking for some Mac CAD software that I can import a DD aerial map into (either a a GEOTiff or a JPG, with the associated data files) to use as a to-scale base layer upon which I would then draw a site plan for an outdoor event.ĪutoCAD 3D Civil looks like it would do it, but it is crazy expensive.
